A Mission to Save Lives
The pressures facing student-athletes are changing faster than the systems built to support them. More Than The Game is building momentum to create lasting change in collegiate athletic communities, and we hope you’ll join us.
There are moments when movements become necessary. This is one of them.
Every athlete deserves to be seen, valued, and supported beyond their performance. Through clinical expertise, storytelling, peer-to-peer engagement, and national campus activation, we are building a movement that empowers student-athletes to seek help, strengthen their athletic communities, and create lasting cultural change.
College athletes today are navigating a world that looks very different than it did for previous generations. The spotlight has never felt brighter and the weight of the pressure has never been greater.

FOUNDER
30 years at the intersection of sports, leadership, and storytelling, Roger learned that behind every performance was a person. Behind every achievement was someone carrying pressure, expectations, and uncertainty that rarely made it into the spotlight. The more he listened, the more he recognized a gap, not in talent or resources, but in connection.
“Sport has the power to elevate performance. But its greatest responsibility is to protect the person behind it. When we invest in the human being first, everything else becomes possible.”
Ph.D., LP, CMPC
Led by Dr. Christopher Bader (Ph.D., LP, CMPC), and supported by the MTTG advisory board of licensed clinicians and performance experts, the clinician team brings deep expertise in psychology, mental performance, and athlete well-being. Together, they provide clinical oversight, evidence-based guidance, and real-world expertise to ensure the platform is grounded in trusted professional standards and designed around the needs of athletes.
“I think mental health and wellness is about options. We all have options, every day. What options you perceive and which you choose can determine how your mental health and wellness journey unfolds.”
BASKETBALL LEGEND, BROADCASTER & HUMANITARIAN
Our first founding coalition partner. The Bill Walton Foundation aims to inspire future generations and create opportunities that help people thrive. Bill Walton’s legacy extends far beyond basketball. Long after the records, championships, and accomplishments, what people remember most is how he made them feel.
“I learn from today, I dream about tomorrow. But I try to make today my masterpiece.”
Our vision is to bring together a broad coalition of foundations, donors, clinicians, athletes, and the media because lasting impact requires collective action. The challenge is too important to approach any other way.
